![]() Even that small amount has a significant effect. How to add a custom 3D printer to the 3D Print Utility in Fusion 360 From the 3D printing utility, you should be able to save the file to run the 3D printer directly to your USB flash drive, in the format that the 3D printer requires. If that is not loose enough I generally compensate by using the offset face tool to move all four faces of the internal thread outwards by a small distance, say 0.05mm. The g/G versions are looser than the h/H versions. The first thing you can do is to see if the threads Fusion is offering you include looser tolerance versions. That is both due to the accuracy of the printer and also limitations of the slicing and printing process. When you print, your externally threaded parts will likely be close to nominal dimaensions but your internally threaded holes will likely come out too small. Once you choose a thread from the list all surfaces of it are properly modelled regardless of the nominal size of the hole you are applying to too. That just affects what threads the tool offers you to choose from - it picks those it thinks your hole size is most suited for. ![]() When you use the thread tool it does not actually matter what size of hole you start with.
